H-2B Visa Extension
If you are currently in the United States on an H-2B visa, you may be eligible to participate in the H-2B Extension Program. This program allows participants to extend their stay in the United States with a new employer arranged by Mid States Labor Solutions.
The fee for an in-country H-2B extension is $1100.00 and it covers the legal fees and all additional services. This $1100.00 also includes a non-refundable $50.00 application fee (which is a small charge to process your documents and information before filing and will not be returned in the case of a refund.)
The first step in securing your visa extension is to decide on a position that fits your qualifications. Next, please fill out the application for H-2B Visa Extension. In order for us to process your extension you must file at least 2 months before your I- 94 expires.
In order to successfully process your visa extension we will need CLEAR and LEGIBLE COPIES of the following documents:
- Current passport – the page with photo
- H-2B Visa on the passport
- I 94 (All I94s if you’ve been extended before)
- Social Security Card
- Updated Resume
- Letters of Recommendations/Reference – if any
- Photograph
- Pay stub from your current employer – Must be sent at time of filing
Important note: Do Not Leave your Job Before Completing The Contract With Your Current Employer. We will Request A Current Pay Stub From You At The Time Of Filing As This Is Legal Proof Required In Order To Process Your Extension. If You Leave The Job Before That We Will Not Be Able To Extend Your Visa.
The H-2B Visa Extension Program Includes:
* Recruitment, screening, and placement with a new employer if needed
* Employment agreements
* Processing the Department of Labor Certification
* Processing the H-2B visa petition to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
* 24 – hour support for employers and participants.
Summer placements generally start April/May
Winter placements generally start October/November
